Waiheke Team

With many years of combined experience in sales and rentals on Waiheke Island, the team at Waiheke Property Co know the island like no other.

Owner Mary Curnow (seated right in the above image) has been involved in real estate on Waiheke for three decades, living on the island on and off since 1989 and founding the Bayleys Waiheke business. With past involvement in Waiheke Community Housing Trust, Mary believes in dry, warm, healthy homes for everyone and continues this work through her rental company. She is excited about the changes and growth underway in the rental industry, and has great confidence in her team, which she describes as warm, supportive and experienced, delivering exceptional service to tenants and owners.

Property Manager Penny Davis (standing right in the above image) gets stuck in. Practical and hands-on by nature, she will turn up to a property with a ladder and toolbox and fix small things where possible, saving the landlord tradesperson fees. Originally from England, Penny first came to the island as a young girl with her family, who loved to travel the world, in the 1970s. She has lived on the island for six years, working for the Waiheke Property Co for nearly three, and now can’t imagine living anywhere else. She has developed great working relationships with property owners and renters alike, and enjoys the satisfaction of being able to help both parties. When she’s not looking after her clients, she can be found out on the water – and has been known to take out a place in the local fishing competition.

Administrator Helen Organ (standing left in the above image)  spent childhood summers on Waiheke, eventually buying land here herself. For many years she visited and spent holidays in the caravan on site before finally succumbing to the charm of full-time island life. She has worked for Bayleys on the island since 2001, and is happy to remain with the rest of the team in the newly rebranded company. She loves working in a small, supportive and thriving team and meeting all sorts of people through her job.

Rental Agent Bree Fisher (seated left in the above image) moved to the island with her family as a teenager and never left – she loves the island lifestyle. Bree has first-hand experience of living in island rentals herself over the years, and understands what is important to renters. She also knows the island, its houses and its people inside out. She loves helping people into a house that will become a home, as well as helping property owners to feel secure and confident in their investment. A mum of two, in her spare time she is partial to an afternoon on the beach or at a winery, or out trying her luck with a fishing rod.
